Pixelmon is a popular mod forthe famous gameMinecraft. It is one of the oldest mods available but has been consistently updated, with new content being added on a semi-regular basis. The latest official release was even made available after Minecraft's1.16 Nether Update! Today, we'll be covering how to get all the different types of Poké Balls in Pixelmon.

The most complicated thing about Poké Balls is that each Poké Ball requires a different recipe, but only for the lid. Still, making them is a simple process. We'll first explain how to craft them and then provide the full recipe list of each Poké Ball type.
Note:You will have to scroll to the bottom of this guide to obtain the following Poké Balls, as they cannot be obtained through traditional crafting: Master Ball, Cherish Ball, GS Ball, andPark Ball.
Crafting
Crafting a Poké Ball is easy if you have the right materials. To begin the process, you'll need to make sure you have the following tools and items ready.
- Pixelmon Anvil (This isNOT the same as aMinecraftAnvil. It has a different recipe. You can see how to craft a Pixelmon Anvil here.)
- Furnace
- Crafting Table
- Hammer (A Hammer of any material can be used).
- Three Apricorns of the colors used for the Poké Ball you want to make. (eg. three red Apricorns for a normal Poké Ball)
- Three Iron Ingots or Three Aluminum Ingots
- One Stone Button(not Wood)
Step Zero: Obtain the Apricorns
Note:If you already have all the components listed above, go ahead andskip to Step One.
Apricorns can be obtained in Pixelmon in a similar manner that they are obtained in recent Pokémon games. There are Apricorn Trees placed sporadically throughout Forest Biomes. Each tree spawns at the same rate. The following list contains each type of biome that can spawn Apricorn Trees.
- Birch Forest
- Birch Forest Hills
- Birch Forest Hills M
- Birch Forest M
- Cold Taiga
- Cold Taiga Hills
- Cold Taiga M
- Extreme Hills+
- Extreme Hills+ M
- Forest
- Forest Hills
- Flower Forest
- Mega Taiga
- Mega Taiga Hills
- Mega Spruce Taiga
- Redwood Taiga Hills M
- Roofed Forest
- Roofed Forest M
- Taiga
- Taiga Hills
- Taiga M
Since the trees all spawn at the same rate, none of them are designated to specific biomes.
An alternative method to obtain Apricorns (but generally less productive) is to use a Bug or Grass Pixelmon's Forage Ability on leaves.

Step One: Cook the Apricorns.
Smelt the Apricorns in the Furnace to change them from Apricorns to Cooked Apricorns. This is a necessary step to craft Poké Balls only. Any other recipe that requires Apricorns will require them to be uncooked/unsmelted.
Step Two: Craft the Poké Ball Components.
- Discs
- On the Crafting Table, lay the three Cooked Apricorns in a row to make the Poké Ball Discs.
- On the Crafting Table, lay the three Iron Ingots in a row to make the Aluminum/Iron Discs.
- Halves
- Place the Poké Ball Disc on the Anvil and use your Hammer to hit it until it becomes rounded and looks like a half-circle. This is the top half of the Poké Ball.
- Place the Aluminum/Iron Disc on the Anvil and use your Hammer to hit it until it becomes rounded and looks like half a circle. This is the bottom half of the Poké Ball.
Step Three:Craft the Poké Ball.
In a single column, place the components in this order from top to bottom:
- Top Half(the colored half)
- Stone Button
- Bottom Half(the aluminum half)
Once you do this, you'll have a shiny new Poké Ball at your disposal! Go out and catch some Pixelmon!
Recipes
The list below provides the recipe for the top disc of each type of Poké Ball. The only component being changed is the top half. Everything else remains the same for each one, including the smelting and crafting process.

Other Poké Balls
Some types of Poké Balls that can't be crafted and can only be obtained as loot from Loot Chests. The list below explains where you might find these Poké Balls.
- Cherish Ball:Pickup Ability or as Tier 2 loot in PokéLoot Chests.
- GS Ball:10 percent chance to drop from Celebi or as loot in Desert Temple Chests.
- Master Ball:Pickup Ability (rare), Tier 3 loot in PokéLoot Chests, End City Chests (very rare), or as a drop from Boss/Legendary Pixelmon.
- Park Ball:Must be spawned in via cheats. No legitimate way to obtain them.
