In March 2021, Australia lost one of its brightest stars of opera and song.
Taryn Fiebig was a beloved and versatile artist who sang everything from opera and celtic folk, to musical theatre and the French Baroque.
She died aged 49, following a diagnosis in 2017 of ovarian cancer, at the height of a brilliant career that saw her win numerous awards, accolades and praise for her beautiful and impressive vocal performances.
Taryn was known for lighting up opera and concert hall stages with her effervescent personality. She had a true talent for acting, and moved around the stage with a dancer’s sensibility. She was a hard worker, and friends and colleagues have shared stories of her incredible sense of humour, her tireless work ethic and attention to detail. Not to mention her compassionate and caring nature.
